How we went from I to WE
we first met – seems like yesterday!
While we had both talked about and bonded over our mutual frustration with speed dating and online dating, it just so happened that one night at the end of March we each decided to give it one more try and joined a Met@Chabad Online Speed Dating event—only to end up never needing another speed date or shidduch date again.
we finally went on a date – only took a month!
After meeting online and going on over 15 virtual dates, we were finally able to coordinate an in-person date just 2 days before William had to leave the country for his trip to Israel and 5 days after Estee got back from hers.
The Chemistry was even Better in person!
While we had been going on online “Zoom” dates for over a month at this point, the nervousness about whether all the chemistry and rapport we had built would translate in person was starting to weigh on us. As William said to Estee, “The minute I saw you step out of your apartment, I knew you would be the woman I would marry.”
… and he finally proposed!
In the regal backdrop of the New York State Capitol, on what is commonly known as “The Million Dollar Staircase,” William asked Estee to spend the rest of their lives together and she said YES!
